AMP, a leading provider of AI-powered sortation at scale for the waste and recycling industry, and Waste Connections, Inc. are delighted to celebrate the groundbreaking of a next-generation materials recovery facility in the Denver metro area. The facility, which will be commissioned in 2026 and process up to 62,000 tons per year annually, will demonstrate how cutting-edge advancements in recycling technology are at work locally.

Through its sortation-as-a-service business model, AMP designs, builds, and operates facilities for a per-ton processing fee so customers can focus on material flows, while AMP manages daily operations, maintenance, upgrades, and plantwide optimization. By operating and maintaining the system, AMP is able to make performance commitments and offer competitive pricing, often below customers’ internal cost to operate. This model allows local governments to steward public resources more effectively and private companies to focus investments on their core business activities.
